Acrobat Reader and Foxit PDF Reader are good readers, but editing, organizing, exporting and redaction sit behind a paid plan. PDF-XChange Editor's free version stamps documents when you use a licensed feature. PDFgear is free too, and collects usage and device data. Inkvolt PDF does all of the above for free, processes documents on your PC, and runs natively on Snapdragon laptops.

Inkvolt Print finds your printer on the network and shows whether it's ready, its ink or toner, and its paper. It scans to searchable PDFs, copies, prints photos and PDFs, and fixes a paused or offline printer. It talks only to your printer, on your network.
03Why it's free
Inkvolt is made by one developer at Bermudez Systems, a software firm in Puerto Rico. The apps are open source (github.com/gabandres/inkvolt), so anyone can check what they do. There is no account to create, no subscription, and no data to sell. If Inkvolt saves you a subscription, a rating in the Microsoft Store or a star on GitHub helps other people find it.
